Special attacks: double attack (2)

Chess pieces can attack two pieces at the same time. This is called a double attack. A double attacks is very strong weapon in chess. That’s why we are going to practise double attacks again in  this lesson.

In a double attack one piece attacks two enemy pieces at once. Your opponent has a problem. He can only defend one...

In this lesson, you learn the two most common types of doubles attacks. First, we look at example 1. White gives check, while at the same time attacking a piece.

Now look at example 2. Here White places a double attack by attacking two pieces.

What do you have to do?

Win material by attacking two things at once. For example, a piece and the king. Or two pieces.
